The delegation of Real Estate Cluster was in the role of honorable guest, and with the invitation of Faruk Mahmoud, who is one of the most important people in the world of real estate in India, took part in the grand annual conference of the National Association of Realtors – India (NAR). Delegation of the Real Estate Cluster consisted of: Nenad Djordjević, owner of the real estate agency „Mozaik“ from Belgrade, Miroslav Cvetković, owner of the real estate agency „Cvetković-Roškov“ from Belgrade, Radosav Janković, founder of the real estate agency „Heraldo“ from Jagodina, and Slaviša Pešić, owner of the real estate agency „Riznica“ from Niš.
In the countries where there are existing associations of real estate agencies and real estate agents, it is common to have annual conferences, organized by these associations. These make opportunities to meet colleagues from the association, and representatives of associations from other countries, exchange experiences, choose new management, learn and create new business opportunities, but also to have fun.
Delegation of the Real Estate Cluster had the honor to be met at a reception in the embassy of Serbia, in the beginning of its stay in New Delhi. The delegation was greeted by the Ambassador of Serbia in India, His Excellency Vladimir Marić together with his associates. During the reception, the possibilities were discussed to promote investment opportunities in Serbia through the activities of the Real Estate Cluster, as a future member of the international real estate associations. Members of the Cluster have indicated that through the participation at international conferences and cooperation with associations from other countries, they can promote the investment potentials in Serbia and contribute to bringing the investors.
The significance attached to the annual conferences of the real estate associations, is further emphasized by the fact that they also gather high state officials, as well as representatives from the most important companies and other senior officials. Opening of the New Delhi conference, by traditional lighting up of the stage and hearing the welcome speeches, was made by the former Minister for Minority Issues in India, K. Rahman Kan, Ambassador of Serbia to India, His Excellency Vladimir Marić, Executive Director of DLF Mr. Aakash Ohri and the leadership of NAR-India.
During the conference, several presentations of the top-level investment projects were held in New Delhi and its surroundings. In addition, investment opportunities from other countries and regions have been presented, such as the United Arab Emirates, USA, Canada, Tunisia and the Pacific region of Asia.
Serbia had also a time slot in which Slaviša Pešić presented the investment opportunities in Serbia and the most important projects that give importance to the area and could be attractive for investment. Members of the delegation, Nenad Djordjević and Miroslav Cvetković were included in providing answers to the attendees at the presentation for issues that were mainly related to legislation, tax policy and economic stability of our country.
The largest companies from India, and also from other countries such as the United Arab Emirates, presented their development projects to attendees at the conference. According to the content and the way of presentation, the one, which was organized by the company DLF, was distinguishable. The DLF company is one of the most powerful companies in India, and has organized a magnificent presentation of its development project in New Delhi – Golf and Country Club. Since all of the buildings in this unique project were built and the settlement was done, the first part of the presentation consisted of going to the site. The project was conceived as a closed-type settlement in which buildings are built around the boundry of a golf course. The settlement can be entered only through the security control, since the project intention was to provide high security to its inhabitants. Participants were greeted by hostesses dressed in traditional Indian dresses.
Afterwards, in a small cinema hall, a film about New Delhi and the project "Golf and Country Club" was presented, which was recorded in such a way the observer got the impression of flying over buildings and streets. When the movie ended, the film screen was rolled up and behind it was a large room with architectural model of the whole settelment.
After seeing the entire settlement in the smaller scale, visitors were brought into an apartment that had been built entirely like the original apartments in that settlement. In this way, anyone interested in buying an apartment in this project, can see how it will physically look upon its complition.
Finally, after the entire presentation, visitors were transferred to a large tent where a gala dinner was organized with a program for all of the conference participants. Over 1300 local and foreign delegates and conference guests were settled in one place and could participate in a program, which showed how investors and real estate associations could cooperate best. All participants at the conference got the opportunity to help sell apartments in this project through cooperation with the investor.
It was expected that in one of the largest countries in the world, we would attend a conference that was organized at the highest level. What was most important was that the Real Estate Cluster's delegation from Serbia, although coming from a small country that is not highly developed economically, was honored by the hosts in the best way possible.
At the conference, the members of the delegation were seated in the first row, where the honorary guests normally sit, and the presentation of the investment opportunities in Serbia was made possible. We strongly felt in any way possible that we were welcome in the international community of real estate agents belonging to NAR Association, which branch in India is one of the largest in the world with about 20,000 real estate agents.
In this way, Real Estate Cluster has continued to open doors through international associations also to its members, and to be able to connect and improve cooperation with colleagues from other countries. In addition, Real Estate Cluster opened up possibility to help companies from Serbia that are seeking investors and partners from abroad or which want to invest abroad, to make their goals happen, through cooperation with the Cluster and other belonging associations.
